AboutThe Suncycle®_ hat was originally designed as sun protection for a friend to wear while cycling over 2,700 km through the sunburnt heart of Australia from Port Augusta (SA) to Darwin (NT).The hat (and cyclist) endured the test/trip with great success. This led to further refining and successful testing by my daily commuting and long-distance cycling friends.Worn without a helmet, it looks and works like an ordinary hat. However, it features functional components designed especially for wind-stability while cycling and to fit with your helmet. The cap portion sits inside the helmet while the brim sits fully outside the helmet - unrestrained by the helmet fastenings.

Versatility and Maximum Sun ProtectionUnlike many other bicycle hat options, Suncycle® Hats feature a full brim to shade you whilst you cycle. The entire hat was given the highest sun-protection factor rating by ARPANSA: UPF50+ excellent sun-protection.The semi-flexible full brims on all of the hats block sunlight and are designed to stay stable in mild breezes and general cycling use. In stronger breezes, you can even snap-back the brim if necessary.Even more convenient, is that when you arrive at your destination, you can simply take the hat out of your helmet and use it as a normal sunhat!
